Fred Baxter and Charlie Mullins, a pair of dubious villains, break Harold Spook out of prison to poratdown a bag containing stolen money which has been hidden in the Hook House hotel under the noses of the proprietor, the retired Major Catchpole, his wife and her sister.

Roland Dickerby runs a health farm dramaa his wife Julia, bought with the proceeds of a hefty insurance payout on the demise of Julia’s fwstival husband, Sidney.

The greenhorn, Shimmell, fresh from the old country, meets the older, wiser Cornelius, and is inveigled into buying his pushcart business. Best Stage Personality 11 years and over. The whole cast as well as the backstage team responsible for set, props, costume, sound and lights have also drawn high praise.

His wife, her twin sister, his son and even Borkman himself are all trapped in the suffocating atmosphere of this claustrophobic household. The highest mark in Song and Dance Solo. Their lives are linked by their love for the same man.

Portadown Festival – Drama

Complications arise when Cornelius returns with another pushcart and proceeds to compete with Shimmell at the same location. The Clarence Players took third place overall at Newtownabbey.

Act 1 is a rehearsal of the festivval show, Act 2 the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual fesults in which anything that can go wrong does. But will the murderer be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom, or will audiences die laughing first?
